TNIBF recently awarded a community grant to All Together Cumbria, a community investment company providing people in Cumbria with opportunities and access to employment with a focus on careers in the nuclear sector. The grant was awarded to support its 2025 Festival of Work/Quiet Festival of Work events.

The Quiet Festival of Work is specifically designed for Year 9-10 students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) – part of a wider aim to support disadvantaged and under-represented young people with accessible careers guidance. The Festival of Work welcomes hundreds of school children to gain careers advice and inspiration from locally based business and organisations. Now in its fourth year, it’s grown to become one of, if not the biggest showcase of careers in the construction, engineering and nuclear sectors in Cumbria.

Andrew Dodds, Head of Social Impact – Nuclear at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, which owns All Together Cumbria, says: “We’re incredibly grateful for TNIBF’s support and look forward to working in partnership with them to deliver two incredible events that will help to achieve this shared ambition.”
